Inviting parent volunteers for ABC reading
Project Cornerstone is looking to return back to Cherry Chase Elementary and we are inviting parent volunteers to join our ABC Program both in lead roles and as classroom readers. We will be reading 7 books this school year and will plan to begin in classrooms in October. Please sign up using https://forms.gle/
ABC volunteer readers will be considered specially “cleared” volunteers and will be allowed on campus to read in classrooms if they are vaccinated for COVID, wear a mask, complete the health screening on the day of the visit, and complete all of the district paperwork (including verification of a negative TB test).
Volunteer with The PTA
1. Admin VP/Secretary – An easy introduction to the PTA Board. Take meeting notes (evening/virtual), sign a few checks. Contact Michelle at president@cherrychasepta.org
2. Fall Festival – Scavenger hunt, contests and virtual puppet shows were a blast last October. Help plan this year’s fall fun. Contact Carolynne at fallfestival@cherrychasepta.
3. Development- 2-3 volunteers needed — great option for parents looking to make a difference outside of school time. Choose Cherry Chase’s restaurant night, or help us get the word out about Giving Tuesday and corporate matching. Contact Terri at development@cherrychasepta.org

Cherry Chase Chess Club is excited to partner with AcademiCal Institute to host ONLINE and VIRTUAL Chess Club class options for all our students while we wait for our return to in-school Chess Club.

FUN online cartoon drawing class,grades 1-5
The class focuses on cartoon drawings of popular characters through step by step
instructions and is a perfect fit for beginner and intermediate students.
Dates and time:
Tuesdays 4-5 pm 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26
Tuesdays 4-5 pm 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23
Price: $99 for 8 sessions

Have a Blast in Cub Scouts
Cub Scouting is an adventure for the whole family. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts boys and girls in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.
Locally, Cub Scouts Pack 462 is a parent-run organization rooted in the Cherry Chase community and serving kids in grades K-5 (though most begin their Cub Scouts adventure in grades 1-4). Learn more about joining Pack 462 (and our upcoming water rocket derby!) at the online Parent Information Meeting on September 20 at 7:00PM.
