What’s New For Walk-a-Thon 2024?

This year, we’ve rolled out three exciting changes for Walk-A-Thon!

New online pledge platform!

We’ve chosen 99Pledges platform for making online pledges and donations as easy as possible! There is no user-id or password required to use this platform. Each Cherry Chase student already has their own profile page created and pre-populated with a welcome message with details about the Walk-A-Thon and its importance to our school and community. Family members can use the students page as is or personalize it with their student’s own message, picture and personal goal. 

You can reach out to friends & family via email, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp or text message, etc. Donors can easily make donations electronically from any device using credit cards, Paypal, Apple Pay or Google Pay! Be on the lookout for an email with a link to your student’s individual profile page and instructions to personalize it.

Prizes for NUMBER of individual donations (instead of top donors)

This year, we’re encouraging students to reach out to as many family members and friends as possible (an important formative experience!), so prizes will be awarded based on the number of individual donors a student solicits pledges from. 

Parents, we need your help to make sure each donation is a unique donor.

Calming Station

This year, we’re making Walk-A-Thon more accessible for students with special needs. We’re setting up a calming station where special needs students can take time out to rest while they participate.
