Virtual Lunar New Year Celebration is next friday
All families in the Cherry Chase community are warmly invited to join the 2022 Lunar New Year of the Tiger Celebration. This year’s event will be held VIRTUALLY on Friday, February 11th, 5:00 – 5:30pm via ZOOM. Access link will be posted on the PTA website early next week. Stay tuned!
We will provide materials for the Lunar New Year themed craft activity at the event. The craft materials will be available for pick-up on Thursday (02/10)
4-5pm at the blue table outside of multi.

Walkathon and other events feel far away, but it currently takes several weeks to get cleared by the district for on campus volunteering.
What you need is :
- TB assessment or test <4 years old and
- Completed COVID vaccination with booster.
And don’t forget to get your waivers out of the way for each child. It only takes a minute.Click the link
Girls On The Run (GOTR)
Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a social-emotional program for girls in 3rd-5th grade that creatively uses a fun curriculum and physical activity to teach critical life skills, such as developing healthy friendships, managing emotions, standing up for yourself and others, and how to set goals and make intentional decisions.
Coaches will lead small groups of girls through discussions and fun games and workouts to promote empowerment and healthy lifestyle choices, all while training them to run/walk a 5K (3.1 miles). The 8-week season starts the week of March 14 and ends with the celebratory Girls on the Run 5K on May 21. The classes are on Mondays and Wednesdays at Cherry Chase from 2:30pm to 4pm. The cost is $230 per girl and financial assistance is available to all families during the registration process. Walk-A-Thon T-Shirt Design Chosen
Congratulations to 5th graders Aishwarya J, Allie Q, and Mary L (pictured in order of their names) who were finalists in the 2022 Cherry Chase Walk-A-Thon & Auction student design contest.
Aishwarya’s design was chosen by teachers in an anonymous vote to be featured on this year’s WAT&A t-shirts illustrating our theme, “Going Far Together.” Congratulations Aishwarya!

And don’t forget, ONLY people who are officially cleared by the school to volunteer will be allowed on campus for the March 25 Walk-A-Thon.

Student shirt sizes are based on grade level. Students in grades K-1 will be given a Youth Small by default, while grades 2-3 get Youth Medium, and grades 4-5 get Youth Large.
If your student would prefer a different size (bigger or smaller), you must fill out this change request form by February 9:
