Walk-A-Thon & Auction

Welcome to the 2026 Walk-A-Thon & Auction! The WAT&A is a long running tradition at Cherry Chase where students, parents, teachers, staff, and local businesses all come together to support our school community. We raise money for our school while having fun spending time with friends and family and promoting physical activity. 

Please participate in the event and encourage friends and family to donate to the PTA on behalf of your student. This year our goal is to raise over $70,000 for Cherry Chase to support science, art, other in-class programs, and community events!

Student Participation Checklist 

On April 10:

• Wear comfortable shoes, shirts and pants.
• Walkathon shirts will be distributed in the morning. You may choose to wear it over your shirt or change in the bathroom.
• Bring a reusable water bottle.
• Bring your tickets if you pre-purchased them.

Parent Participation Checklist 

Join us Friday, April 10th, 9am-12pm!

• Take the morning off to volunteer, cheer on the walkers, and enjoy the festivities! Parents, grandparents, siblings, and other family members are welcome to attend.

• Buy food and shout-out tickets. A variety of tasty treats are available on-site to fuel our walkers and spirited supporters. Tickets can be pre-purchased online as well as during the event. More info about tickets on this page.

Volunteer!

• Volunteering is fun, easy, and essential for the success of the event! We need over 200 volunteers to run this event! 
• Sign up to volunteer in a position of your choice. Roles are available the whole week of the event. Volunteers serving on campus before 9:00am or after 12:00pm on the day of the event should be volunteer cleared. 
• See if your employer will match your volunteer hours with a financial donation. Go to www.cherrychasepta.org/corporate-matching/ for more info.

Help your child raise pledge donations

• Collect pledge donations online or in person. Our goal is for each student to raise $160, but any amount is appreciated! Even $15 will contribute towards class participation pizza parties.

Donate items 

• Submit this form to lend supplies and donate snacks, baked goods, and drinks.
• Donate a new item or gift card (value ≥$20) to the auction. Family/parent hosted experiences are some of the most popular items in our Auction. Offer an hour of your service, share your special skill, bake a tasty treat, or co-host a party with friends! Fill out this form to submit your offerings by March 13.

Bid on auction prizes

• Each year, our online auction features a wide variety of great prizes. Register and bid generously! Bidding will be open April 6th – 10th.
