Don’t forget to purchase your Cherry Chase Yearbook! Look back on all the wonderful memories from the school year. Order by May 11 (deadline was just extended!) for free shipping to school. Yearbooks will be distributed at the end of the school year. After the deadline, you will still be able to order (including the custom pages) but shipping charges will apply. Don’t miss out!

It is a ~100 page photo book with the following main sections:

• Class pages – every class at Cherry Chase will have a dedicated section with all the kids and teacher portraits and group photos. Your student photo is guaranteed to appear here, unless you’ve explicitly opted out.
• Event pages – many of the in-school and after-school events will have a dedicated section covering it. Your student might appear in one of these sections, but this is not guaranteed.
• Personal pages – you can design pages that will be printed EXCLUSIVELY in your child’s book. This is an awesome way to personalize your copy. For more details on this keep reading the tips section.

The main areas of work are – photography, design/editing and coordination, with varied time commitment. • I’m not interested in ordering the yearbook

One might think that the yearbook can become yet another book on the shelf that collects dust, and that is definitely a possibility. But, from the feedback we hear from other families, and from our own experience, this actually becomes one of the MOST used books on the shelf! Kids reach out to it and go cover to cover, time after time. Especially if you customize your copy and even make it your family album (see the tips below for ideas).

Kids LOVE getting the yearbook along with their classmates at the end of the year. Some classes even have a custom of signing each other’s copies.

Even if you decide not to purchase it this year, we do encourage you to at least sneak a peak when the books are out, so you can maybe change your mind for next year 🙂

• Should I order before or after customizing personal pages?

For all orders before the deadline – it doesn’t matter, but we strongly advise to ORDER FIRST, just so you don’t forget. Your order only goes to print at the deadline, so you can keep making changes until then.

For orders after the deadline – you have to CUSTOMIZE BEFORE ORDERING, as your order goes to print immediately.

• Will my kid appear on any of the yearbook pages?

Every class at Cherry Chase will have a page and all students (unless you’ve opted out) are included on that page. We use both the Lifetouch portraits and other class photos. Anything beyond that – is in YOUR HANDS! As much as our volunteers try to include as many kids as possible on the different pages through the yearbook, we only have limited photos available and limited space. Luckily, every yearbook purchase comes with 2 PERSONAL PAGES where YOU can upload YOUR OWN photos! They are printed at the end of the yearbook IN YOUR COPY ONLY – customize them to make the yearbook even more special for your kid.

• I have more photos than fit in 2 custom pages, what can I do?

2 personal pages are INCLUDED with EVERY yearbook purchase, but you can add MANY more ($0.99 for every additional 2 pages). Both the first 2 and the rest will be printed ONLY in your copy. We highly recommend you to utilize this feature!

• What can I do if I don’t have time to design personal pages?

Delegate to your KIDS! Purchase the yearbook, upload some photos and let your kids play with the design – trust us they are very capable and creative! This will make them LOVE the yearbook even more, even if the design ends up not to your liking 😉 This tip is especially great for 3-5th graders.

• Can I have some ideas for what to include on personal pages?

Sure! ANY photos related to this school year memories and beyond will work. Those pages are fully YOURS to customize. Examples:

• • Family trips, birthdays, celebrations and special events
  • After school activities
  • School events and celebrations – there will be of course school-wide pages for that, but nothing beats your personal point of view!
  • Classroom activities photos – ask your teacher for some!
  • Playdates and sleepovers with friends
  • Everyday life! 
  • Your pets!

• Can I use the personal pages as my family photo album?

Absolutely!!! As one of the Cherry Chase parents told us – “I used to always take a million photos and never print anything. Until I’ve discovered the yearbook feature of CUSTOM PERSONAL pages!!! Since then, I just upload our family photos from the entire year, arrange them on the personal pages, and they are printed with minimal effort! I love it, kids love it – it’s a win-win! I admit there were years we’ve added additional 30-40 custom pages :)”

• I missed the deadline but still want the yearbook!!!

No worries, this is actually one of the biggest advantages of our yearbook provider – you can actually order the yearbooks any time, even for the PREVIOUS YEARS! You will be responsible for the shipping, but other than that, you can even add custom pages after the deadline! Just make sure to customize them BEFORE YOU PUT THE ORDER, otherwise they won’t print.
